What we are. PPA is a design firm based in Gangtok focused on delivering the highest quality multidisciplinary design. We do not distinguish between urban design, architecture and interiors — we approach each discipline as seamlessly interrelated.
Our design philosophy is rooted in context; therefore, issues of identity and culture receive as much attention as architecture in the contemporary context.
How we started. The office began with two trainees from the School of Architecture, CEPT, Ahmedabad. Jimila Shenga and Zamyang Bhutia joined the office as recent graduates, and Vijayshree Chhetri joined as the office assistant.
Our values. We envision an architecture that is both contemporary and timeless — a design language that embraces innovation while staying deeply rooted in the heritage, culture, and context of place. We aspire to create spaces that respond to present needs while inspiring future generations through meaningful, sustainable, and human-centered design.
Our approach. Every project begins with an understanding of the land, culture, and people it serves. From vibrant public spaces and walkways to buildings on steep contours or flatlands, our process is rooted in adaptability, environmental respect, and a celebration of local identity.
